About
PAI Research Center advances integrated sensing, communication, computing, and intelligence for complex and extreme environments.
Who We Are
PAI Research Center brings together Professor Erwu Liu and collaborators from academia and industry. The team includes professors, associate and assistant professors, postdoctoral researchers, PhD, master’s and undergraduate students, senior engineers and experienced engineering professionals. Its capabilities span fundamental research, enabling technologies, system development, platform engineering and technology transfer.
What We Study
Our work focuses on integrated sensing, communication, computing, and intelligence across three research directions: high-precision localization and intelligent perception in GNSS-denied environments; robust communications and reliable networking in extreme environments; and intelligent information processing and trusted collaboration under weak connectivity and limited mutual trust.
Problems We Address
We study high-precision localization and environmental sensing in GNSS-denied and heavily obstructed environments; precision sensing and intelligent inspection in underground spaces; reliable communications and networking in underground, mining, underwater, ice-covered and other challenging environments; and efficient, trusted collaboration in resource-constrained distributed systems.
